GULKAM KANYONS

The canyon of Gulkam river is situated 90 km far from Tashkent in the spurs of Chatkal mountain range, Western Tien-Shan at the foot hills of Maliy Chimgan Peak (2097 m.). For million years Gulkamsay river has been forming its narrow canyon of unusual beauty. And now this place is one of the most beautiful places in Uzbekistan. To reach the canyon one should ascend Gulkam pass (1830 m.) and descend through the birch grove to the narrow crack – the entry into the canyon.
